Canker Sores

Canker sores are small white ulcers on the tongue, lips, gums, or insides of the cheeks. They are caused by a virus and can be triggered by irritation in the mouth, food allergies, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, underlying immune deficiencies, trauma, stress, and/or fatigue.

Eat plenty of raw onions and other foods containing sulfur for their healing properties. Eat plenty of salad, yogurt, and other soured products such as kefir, cottage cheese and buttermilk. Avoid sugar, citrus fruits and processed or refined foods. Do not eat fish or any other meat for 2 weeks.
