Epilepsy

Epilepsy is characterized by recurring seizures, but not all people who have seizures have epilepsy. Epileptic seizures are caused by a temporary malfunction of the brain caused by uncontrolled electrical activity fro the nerve cells in the cerebral cortex. The underlying causes of epilepsy are unknown. Seizures may be triggered by a number of things including exposure to an allergen, drug or alcohol withdrawal, fever, flashing lights, hunger, hypoglycemia, infection, lack of sleep, metabolic or nutritional imbalances, r trauma, especially head injury.

Include cultured milk products, beet greens, chard, eggs, green leaf vegetables, raw cheese raw milk, raw nuts, seeds, and soybeans in the diet. Drink fresh juices made from beets, carrots, green beans, green leafy vegetables, peas, red grapes, and seaweed for concentrated nutrients. Eat small meals and do not drink large quantities of liquids. Avoid alcohol, animal protein, fried foods, artificial sweeteners, caffeine, nicotine, refined foods, and sugar.
