Skin Rashes

The skin is the largest organ in the body and is designed to filter and protect. As it is exposed to various environmental toxins the skin is prone to various bumps, blisters, color changes, cracking, dryness, flaking, itching, redness, roughness, scaling, thickening and various other problems. Some common skin reactions are caused by allergies, insect bites, exposure to irritating plants such as poison ivy, fungi, diaper rash, sun and wind burn, drugs, alcohol, detergents, jewelry, fragrances, stress, friction, and nervous tension. A rash can may indicate illness and should not be ignored.

Rashes are often associated with food allergies to chocolate, dairy products, eggs, peanuts, milk, wheat, fish, chicken, pork or beef. Avoid over exposure to sun and chemicals or irritants such as dust and water.
